HIC - Humanitarian Information Centre for Liberia Transport Maps Accessibility Analyzes Maps based on Village Mapping Project - October 2004 to April 2005
The most up to data road network of primary routes in Liberia including road
numbers is available in this section. The main rail network is also visualized
but stays on purpose a bit in the background. Hopefully we can add more data
about more detailed rail network, airports and harbors to this section soon. Liberia Road and Bridge Assessment Survey Status of Roads and Bridges in Liberia 15 may 2004 (831 KB Word format) Status of Roads and Bridges in Liberia 21 Mar 2004 ( 87 KB Word format) An assessment of roads, bridges and culverts requiring repair was conducted between Jan 2003 and Dec 2004 by the HIC in collaboration with UNJLC. Routes used to supply humanitarian hubs were identified and assessed to determine current condition, passibility, surface/construction material and estimated cost of repair. Survey outputs for priority 1 routes are presented in the form of maps, reports and a series of photographs. Surveyed features (road segments, bridges and culverts) are coded in the maps, photographs and reports using a common coding system. Routes are coded with a route number e.g. R01 and features on the route coded are coded as follows: R01S01 segment 1 on route 1 R01B01 bridge 1 on route 1 R01C01 culvert 1 on route 1 The reports listed below provide a summary and details of priority 1 routes:
