The Partnership and Capacity Building in Africa
The Environmental Emergencies Partnership contributed to a successful Wildland Fire Management Course in South Africa from May 30-June 5, 2004.  Delegates from 12 countries agreed to the Nelspruit Declaration at this course. Click here to access the Declaration! 

Harmonization Workshop
Agreement on a common emergency request form was reached between the Joint UNEP/OCHA Environment Unit and the UNECE Secretariat for the Convention on the Transboundary Effects of Industrial Chemicals at a June 21 meeting that included representatives of Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and Switzerland.  Contact us for details!

Outreach
April 26-30, 2004. Partnership Secretariat gave a presentation and hosted an information booth at the Partnership Fair of the 12th meeting of the Commission on Sustainable Development. 

March 4-6, 2004. Attended the International Forum on Partnerships for Sustainable Development in Rome to promote the Partnership and hosted information booth.
